Job Details: Location: Washington, DC 20549 Job Title: Business Systems Analyst III Duration: 11 Months (Very high possibility of extension) Job description: The Enterprise Management System Team supports the SEC Enterprise Architecture Teams with engineering and technical services to support business needs with appropriate technology (hardware or software). This includes architectural design, engineering design, and proof of concept development, pilots, analysis, results, and documentation. The Enterprise Management System Team provides assistance identifying solutions that: 1. Map functional requirements into technological requirements; 2. Identify technologies that meet the technological requirements; 3. Conduct proof of concept, pilots, and demos for the purposes of evaluating the suitability of given technologies for meeting requirements; 4. Evaluate trade-offs between competing solutions; 5. Develop quantitative driven analysis of alternatives; 6. Produce written analysis of research; and 7. Produce written recommendation papers that clearly describe the process followed, alternatives considered, evaluation criteria, and rationale for recommendation and need for additional work. application performance management (APM) systems performance management (SPM) network performance management (NPM) design and implementation systems analysis and design system feasibility studies systems integration data conversion and implementation support database planning and design programming network services The Enterprise Management Systems Specialist will be assigned to the first shift and will be expected to: · Participate in an on-call rotation; · Support night and weekend maintenance activities; and · Provide emergency response support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, within a 2-hour response Win. This includes HTML and CSS coding, assisting in the QA, testing and the actual publishing of the websites * Assist in providing back-up design support when needed * To be part of a team that applies knowledge of web development to build and deliver custom websites and on-line advertisements (e.g., banner ads) for customers. This includes supporting website development services as well as rich media ad design / development. Qualifications: • Associates degree or related experience in a technical field required• Professional experience in web development, including website development, building site pages and developing code• Working knowledge of developing and integrating themes into WordPress• HTML page creation from raw format design files – such as Photoshop PSD files• Fluent in CSS tableless layouts and experience with CSS frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap• Ability to write, debug and test scripting languages like Javascript and experience with frameworks such as jQuery and jQueryUI• API Integration into existing CMS systems (preferably WordPress)• Managing and organizing source code revisions and files with versioning tools such as Git or SVN• Build site pages, unit test, and support the implementation of customer web sites• Analyze and document user requirements.• Maintain and update new and existing customer websites• Acquire and maintain knowledge of current standards, policies and procedures• Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional units to ensure quality• Maintain and develop technical skills to keep current in systems programming and analysis techniques Additional Information: All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
