M&T Bank seeks a Business Risk Analyst II to support the Finance division's first line of defense risk management. You will assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks while helping implement operational risk and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will work with representatives from one of the following areas: Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Tax, or Strategy.

What You'll Do

Assist in documenting key business unit processes and identifying associated risks and internal controls.
Support the planning, execution, and reporting of the business unit's risk-based testing program, performing control testing in accordance with company guidance.
Plan and execute control and substantive testing, evaluate results, and communicate findings to management.
Independently perform scripted testing of controls.
Monitor business unit performance against established key risk indicators (KRIs) and assist in creating comprehensive KRI reporting.
Help identify emerging risks and risks tied to new or changing products, services, markets, or channels.
Assist with the completion of Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and other risk management reporting.
Research and assess regulatory requirements impacting the business unit.
Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls per Company or regulatory standards.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit and regulatory findings.
Complete other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
