Optum Tech, part of UnitedHealth Group, is looking for a Senior Business Process Consultant to lead vital, strategically important projects focused on business process improvement. You'll apply sharp analytical skills to help create, control, and enhance key processes.
What You'll Do
- Participate in program kickoff meetings and solutioning sessions
- Facilitate meetings to collect, analyze, and document current business processes
- Perform project impact analysis based on business needs
- Translate enterprise features and high-level business needs into detailed requirements
- Document business requirements as user stories and features
- Engage with requirements holders to ensure business requirements are clear, concise, and complete
- Develop business use cases and scenarios for user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Perform business validations against established requirements
- Enable information-sharing between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Establish and cultivate business relationships with internal and external partners
- Support all phases of agile software development, including initiation, design, development, and testing
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams regarding enhancements, changes, issues, and defects
- Apply business knowledge and sound judgment to develop realistic business timelines
- Support a team-oriented work climate that enables professional development, encourages creative solutions, and emphasizes quality and cost effectiveness
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Process Analyst
- 5+ years of experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Proven solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with ability to grasp new ideas and concepts
- Proven solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working on large-scale technology projects with multiple integrated platforms
- Experience working in Agile and SDLC environments
- Current employment by UHG, or current work as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates
