About the Role

Ribbon AI is hiring its first Business Development Representative (BDR) to architect our outbound engine from the ground up. You will own the top of the sales funnel, hunting ideal accounts and booking high-impact demos to fuel our go-to-market engine. This role offers the chance to build meaningful equity in a company redefining how the world hires.

What You'll Do

  • Own your territory pipeline: map target accounts, build multi-threaded contact lists, and run sequenced outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative channels.
  • Book qualified meetings and exceed monthly demo targets by turning prospect curiosity into calendar invites.
  • Experiment and optimize: A/B test subject lines, hooks, and cadences; track conversion metrics; and double down on what works.
  • Master the Ribbon story: articulate ROI succinctly, handle objections confidently, and tailor messaging for CHROs, Talent leaders, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Document winning playbooks: capture effective templates, talk tracks, and personalization techniques to scale training for future BDRs.
  • Fuel product insight: relay prospect pain points to Senior Enterprise AEs and Product & Engineering teams to keep our roadmap focused on buyer needs.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of outbound sales or BDR/SDR experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Communicates with purpose: concise, clear, persuasive, and adaptable from polished C-suite emails to rapid-fire Slack messages.
  • Data-savvy: confident using Attio to track deals, automating outreach with Reply.io and Clay, and pulling clear reports.
  • Learns fast and iterates faster: embraces feedback, runs experiments, and isn’t afraid to scrap what isn’t working.
  • Operates autonomously: proactive, organized, and able to manage high-volume outreach without hand-holding.
  • Radiates high energy, rebounds quickly from setbacks, and maintains an unwavering, upbeat outlook.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in HRTech is a plus.
  • Bonus points for experience selling to Talent Acquisition or HR stakeholders.
