Skimmer is hiring a Business Development Representative

About the Role

Skimmer is looking for a Business Development Representative to own high-volume outbound prospecting. You will generate qualified leads for our Account Executives by executing campaigns across multiple channels and partnering closely with the sales team to support goals and accelerate your own career growth.

What You'll Do

  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, SMS, and other channels.
  • Make roughly 100+ calls per day using provided leads and tools.
  • Generate a consistent flow of qualified prospects who book and attend a discovery meeting with an Account Executive.
  • Utilize sales tools including CRM, sales engagement platforms, and prospecting databases.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to understand how to best support them and to learn from their expertise.

What We're Looking For

  • Some professional experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence and demonstrated listening skills.
  • Comfort with high-volume cold calling and email outreach (100+ calls per day).
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools (HubSpot is a huge plus).
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Urgent enthusiasm to learn and excel in your career.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience selling to service-based businesses or field service management software.
  • Knowledge of the pool service industry or related home service businesses.
  • Experience selling for subscription-based SaaS businesses.
  • “Never give up” positive attitude and ability to engage customers on the phone.
  • Familiarity with route optimization, scheduling, or service management software.

Team & Environment

You will join a sales team of 6 people with a 1:1 AE:BDR ratio. All reps are remote and support each other throughout the day. You will report directly to the Director of Sales.
