Douro Labs is hiring a Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our network by bridging it with sophisticated financial institutions. You will be responsible for scaling ecosystem liquidity and expanding our data footprint, connecting with trading firms, market makers, and institutional data providers.

What You'll Do

Identify, pitch, and onboard top-tier market makers and trading firms to contribute high-quality data.
Manage the complete supply-side lifecycle, ensuring providers are successfully integrated and incentivized.
Navigate complex negotiations with institutional entities to expand our data footprint.
Lead sales efforts for premium data offerings to institutional consumers requiring low-latency, high-accuracy feeds.
Communicate the technical and economic value proposition of data products to sophisticated buyers.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay market feedback and inform the roadmap.
Act as a high-touch relationship manager for VIP clients, ensuring long-term retention and growth.
Represent the organization at major industry events across traditional and decentralized finance in Asia and Europe.
Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape, including exchanges, oracles, and data providers.

What We're Looking For

5+ years in Business Development, Sales, or Institutional Coverage within finance or fintech.
Proven track record in business development or relationship management within a major exchange, market maker, or tier-1 crypto firm.
Deep understanding of how market makers operate, their liquidity needs, and how they consume data.
Familiarity with both traditional exchange structures and the evolving DeFi landscape.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, startup-speed environment while maintaining institutional-grade professionalism.
Strong technical literacy, with the ability to discuss API integrations and data latency confidently.
Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

Mandarin fluency (highly preferred, especially for Singapore-based roles).
Experience navigating the nuances of both Western and Asian markets.
Direct experience in ‘poaching’ or migrating liquidity and data providers from legacy systems to decentralized protocols.
Background in quantitative trading or prime brokerage.
A strong presence in the DeFi community and an understanding of oracle mechanics.
