Cision is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our PR Newswire brand in Indonesia. This Jakarta-based, remote-working role focuses on new business sales and client relationship management. The first year will be dedicated primarily to outbound hunting (90% of time), shifting toward more account management (30%) in subsequent years.
What You'll Do
- Focus on new business sales for platform solutions targeting marketing, corporate communications, public relations, and investor relations professionals via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Reach or exceed specific quarterly and annual revenue targets, focusing on corporate workflow solutions like media monitoring, social media management, newswire distribution, and content strategy.
- Ensure all clients are handled to the highest standards and their PR, marketing communications, and digital requirements are understood.
- Stay ahead of competition by following up on leads, maximizing win chances, and keeping regular contact with clients and prospects.
- Provide regular feedback (weekly, monthly, ad hoc) to your Supervisor on sales activities, wins/losses, competition, and product feedback.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of new business sales experience.
- Solid track record of consistently delivering or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- High level of self-motivation, growth mindset, and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in territory management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; mature and engaging personality.
- Fluent speaking and writing in English and the local language.
- Proficiency in Internet and PC software, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in SaaS or subscription-based solutions.
- Relevant experience in corporate communications, marketing, PR, investor relations, advertising, or media sales.
- User knowledge and experience in a CRM system. Salesforce experience is an advantage.
