Husqvarna Group is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales and profitability within the Northern Area, UK territory. In this role, you will execute the company's business development plan by managing existing Contractor Direct Surface Prep accounts and proactively identifying new sales opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Manage the assigned territory by visiting, coordinating, and developing sales with the customer base.
- Work closely with customer decision-makers and influencers.
- Regularly communicate market information, including product performance, pricing, and competitor activity.
- Define and implement a cost-effective sales strategy for the territory.
- Achieve territory sales in line with agreed budgets.
- Utilise CRM to log all activities and maintain accurate data.
- Implement the Husqvarna Construction Sales Strategy, including brand and market pricing.
- Develop strong customer relationships to encourage pro-active trading.
- Spend at least 80% of time in the field visiting new and existing customers.
- Work closely with the internal customer services team to maximise territory business.
- Manage territory effectively through sensible journey planning and customer visit patterns.
- Promptly follow up on all sales leads and log progress in CRM.
- Establish and maintain up-to-date customer records in the CRM database.
- Continually review competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities.
- Prepare target plans to exploit short, medium, and long-term potential.
- Ensure all reports and correspondence are completed on time.
- Advise on changes and issues affecting sales, margins, and business relationships.
- Report any perceived weaknesses in knowledge or operations to your line manager.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience successfully managing business at a territory sales level, particularly with end-users.
- Ability to competently use and demonstrate products to customers.
- An effective communicator with the ability to build close relationships at all levels.
