Penn State Information Technology is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team focused on custom application and web development solutions. This strategic role reports to the Business Analysis Manager and is ideal for a meticulous individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, working with executives, subject matter experts, and technical staff to align solutions with business objectives.

What You'll Do

Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify impacted parties and define solution delivery effort.
Translate business needs into actionable user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
Facilitate requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, surveys, and document reviews.
Work closely with internal and external clients to ensure user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
Partner with developers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Perform gap analyses and document current and future state business processes.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Support post-launch analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree.
3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Business analysis experience within custom software or web development environments.
A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and web technologies.
Proficiency in project management tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Experience with requirements writing and technical documentation.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with change control processes and quality assurance testing.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
Basic understanding of data modeling or SQL.

Compensation: $68,200.00 - $102,300.00
