Allstate is hiring a Field Property Adjuster in Wayne, NJ. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service by protecting families and their belongings from life’s uncertainties. You’ll lead with empathy as you handle both on-site and virtual property claims.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims.
- Handle virtual claims countrywide using various platforms and software, with a focus on water losses.
- Investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process.
- Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants.
- Utilize estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to solve problems and settle claims.
- Execute policies and maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation in the claims system.
What We're Looking For
- Residency within the Wayne, NJ area.
- Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- As a condition of employment, may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license within 60 days of hire.
Nice to Have
- 2 years’ previous experience as an outside adjuster.
- Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating.
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

- Compensation: $50,700.00 - $89,062.50 annually
