University of Southern California (USC) was looking for an Administrative Assistant II

The University of Southern California (USC) is hiring an Administrative Assistant II to provide intermediate-level administrative and office support for a department. This role collaborates with teammates to perform tasks directly related to departmental operations.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, serving as a consistent witness with a courteous, Christ-like attitude.
  • Act as an advocate to raise awareness of children's needs and prioritize child protection in all decisions.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • As a seasoned team member, answer questions, explain processes, and correspond with people concerning specialized departmental information.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, coordinate travel, and host visitors.
  • Perform administrative support work including answering phones, entering electronic data, and sorting mail.
  • Draft and proofread documents, forms, correspondence, and confidential company records.
  • Perform light manual labor such as delivering supplies, arranging chairs, and setting up refreshments.
  • Communicate with international staff to facilitate information processing, follow up on accuracy, and serve on project teams.
  • Assist in creating, tracking, and reporting for the department and administer ongoing basic programs.
  • Order supplies or services, arrange shipping or transportation, and provide other logistical services.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Three years of relevant experience in administrative support or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to write and speak French.

Team & Environment

May directly support a manager or director, provides full support to an intermediate-sized work group, or performs general tasks in a larger group.
