The Dow Chemical Company is hiring a Business Development Manager - Energy to be responsible for revenue growth and customer experience for medium to large-sized customers in the West Texas area. You will focus on new business development, territory management, and relationship management.
What You'll Do
- Manage your account portfolio and prepare and implement sales plans.
- Lead and coordinate customer relationships to understand needs and identify potential new clients.
- Spend 3+ days weekly visiting customer sites, working with site engineers to understand operational optimization opportunities in amines plants.
- Input information in CRM and SmartPrice providing required documentation aligned to Dow sales processes.
- Manage Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans delivering business goals of volume and value.
- Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
- Lead and conduct negotiations and implement price changes and strategies.
- Collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience.
- Must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the West Texas area (e.g., Midland, TX, Odessa, TX).
- Ability to travel locally up to 75%.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Nice to Have
- A degree discipline in chemical engineering or related science.
- Prior experience in gas treating/refineries or equivalent.
