At Modine, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our strategic growth initiatives with leading hyperscale data center operators. You will promote, position, and provide technical-commercial leadership for our advanced cooling solutions, expanding our presence across hyperscale campuses worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive sustainable revenue, profit, and market share growth.
- Map and influence customer organizational structures, including engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Use market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback insights to refine strategies.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.
- Leverage the full strength of the entire product portfolio to drive sustainable growth.
- Prospect for new opportunities using the Airedale by Modine portfolio.
- Cultivate relationships with contractors, engineers of record, and end user/owners to influence buying decisions.
- Develop and manage a business development program, including identifying partners, negotiating agreements, and providing ongoing support.
- Own and maintain the top-of-funnel pipeline for hyperscale cooling opportunities in the CRM.
- Lead RFP/RFQ responses, coordinating pricing, terms and conditions, technical content, and delivery commitments.
- Develop multi-year revenue forecasts and support capacity planning for growth programs.
- Collect and analyze Voice of Customer data to gain insights into needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales initiatives with business goals.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure client alignment.
- Support go-to-market strategies with Marketing, including collateral, case studies, and industry events.
- Steward internal governance processes like gate reviews, pricing committees, and strategic account plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, or Technical Sales.
- Strong understanding of Data Center technologies and industry trends.
- Ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented with a proven record of thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience building and executing multi-year strategic account plans.
- Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.
