Nucor is looking for a Business Analyst to support and enhance operations by designing and optimizing business processes using software. This role plays a key part in analyzing needs, optimizing systems, and managing projects within our safety-focused and team-oriented culture.
What You'll Do
- Support ERP and other related software, assisting in design, documentation, and maintenance.
- Support applications that integrate with Microsoft D365 or other business software.
- Analyze business needs, working with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and efficient solutions.
- Optimize system performance using in-depth functional knowledge to maximize automation and process effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, leading discussions between business and IT teams.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality by performing quality assurance, data governance, and managing process change requests.
- Manage end-to-end projects, overseeing scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment from start to finish.
- Provide expert guidance, offering best practices and solution alternatives in functional design documents.
- Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice to Have
- 2-3 years of experience with ERP systems.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or performing Business Analyst responsibilities.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance requirements analysis, documentation, reporting, or process optimization.
- Experience in the steel or metal related industry.
