Ampol is hiring a Business Analyst

At Ampol, we’re looking for a Business Analyst to unify customer experience across physical and digital channels. You will build and deliver products where technology meets our customers, navigating complexity, translating requirements, mapping dependencies, and managing multiple concurrent projects. Your core role is to act as the bridge between business needs and technology, ensuring every solution delivers value.

What You'll Do

• Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear, aligned, and actionable requirements for complex technical solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements, using appropriate models and techniques.
• Support impact and gap analyses to define current and future state processes, identifying opportunities and dependencies across systems.
• Translate requirements into testable outcomes, define acceptance criteria, and support user acceptance testing.
• Support stakeholders to develop business cases and evaluate solution options (build vs. buy, process changes, integrations).
• Support end-to-end delivery - from requirements through design, testing, implementation, and transition to operations/BAU Support.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, influencing decision-making, facilitating workshops, and pushing back constructively when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in business analysis within large, complex environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and maintaining momentum across teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills: able to engage at all levels and influence outcomes with confidence.
• A pragmatic, adaptable mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and driving structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to distil complex problems into clear, actionable insights.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as BABOK, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation, or Agile highly regarded.
