Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Building Engineer - Critical Facilities to deliver best-practice systems and problem resolution for data center infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and ensuring the continuous operation of all building electrical and mechanical systems to achieve 100% uptime.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all critical building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, chillers, CRAC, CRAH), electrical (UPS, ATS, generators, switchgear), and hot water systems.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, boiler, and ventilation equipment.
- Record equipment readings and perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Analyze system operations, determine the cause of malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Comply with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Learn the data center site to effectively manage incidents that risk critical systems.
- Manage work orders within a CMMS, vendor interactions, and customer-facing tickets.
- Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures.
- Perform additional job duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working in a data center or other critical facility.
- Hands-on experience with building systems, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and CMMS.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Corrigo.
- Universal EPA 608 certification.
- Training in NFPA70E.

Work Mode
