Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all building systems to ensure continuous 100% uptime, including fire and life safety, HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAC units, plumbing, controls, and electrical systems such as UPS, ATS, STS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution.
- Operate, adjust, and service refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning systems; boilers, water heaters, ventilation units, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Document system readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose and analyze system operations to identify root causes of malfunctions and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Follow established protocols for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the data center site to effectively manage incidents that could impact critical infrastructure.
- Manage work orders using CMMS systems, coordinate vendor activities, and handle customer-facing service tickets.
- Follow emergency escalation procedures during critical events or system failures.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
