Carrier Global Corporation is hiring a Building Automation and Controls Master Technician for Automated Logic. As a Master Field Engineer, you will be crucial to commissioning custom building automation systems, solving complex technical problems, and leading the development of less experienced team members.
What You'll Do
- Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
- Mentor and develop less experienced Field Engineers on all field tools and technology.
- Serve as the local contact for technical issues and offer effective solutions for complex system problems.
- Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.
- Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
- Load software and configure trends, alarms, and reports.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
- Provide site-specific training to owners and operators on the complete system.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current Driver’s License and ability to be insured by the company's policy.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
- Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
- Ability to navigate and integrate into a variety of building automation systems.
- Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
- Experience interacting with a large number of simultaneous challenges requiring multi-disciplinary knowledge.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
