Responsibilities
- Support the Facilities Director in managing day-to-day building operations
- Fill in as a substitute at the elementary school when necessary
- Manage or assist with lunchroom coordination and activities
- Accept incoming deliveries and oversee their distribution
- Help staff prepare and dismantle event spaces
- Clear snow and debris from building entrances as required
- Carry out minor repair tasks as needed
- Notify the Facilities Director of supply shortages
- Report repair issues to the Facilities Director promptly
- Complete light cleaning duties across the facility
- Restock paper supplies throughout the day as necessary
- Handle cleanup tasks as they arise
- Remove outdoor trash and debris as needed
- Be physically capable of standing, climbing ladders, and working throughout the campus
- Be prepared to walk several miles during a typical workday
- Lift up to 50 pounds when required
- Build positive interactions with students and staff members
- Support safety drill execution as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent credential
- Clear federal and state criminal background checks
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Capable of lifting or moving up to 75 pounds
- Proficient in operating indoor and outdoor cleaning tools
- Willingness to work before school hours when necessary
- Consistent record of punctuality and dependability
- Trained in handling and disposing of hazardous and biohazardous waste
- Basic understanding of simple electrical and plumbing repairs
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in an urban environment is beneficial
