Builders Mutual is hiring a Virtual Premium Auditor to leverage your industry expertise for the Georgia, South Carolina, and Charlotte, NC areas. You will perform virtual audits to establish appropriate classifications, exposures, and basis of premium, working with minimal supervision on routine audits.
What You'll Do
- Conduct virtual audits of selected commercial lines policies by reviewing the customer’s business operations, including examining, verifying, and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial business records.
- Ensure quality of the audit through proper risk classification and exposure basis identification.
- Utilize your laptop computer to record audit information and transmit completed audits in a timely manner.
- Discuss issues and problems with insureds to ensure understanding of premium changes and maintain good customer relations.
- Provide external and internal customers with information to assist in their understanding of audit-related matters.
- Remain informed of changes and current information relative to premium auditing through discussions with industry experts and review of industry literature.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills and work from a home office with minimal direct supervision.
- Conduct business professionally to conserve and protect the corporate assets of Builders Mutual.
- Work on special projects and assignments as required.
- Share information and experiences with less experienced virtual premium auditors.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus 1-3 years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
- Strong customer service, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Highly effective in time management.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
