Role Overview
This position is designed for a results-driven professional based in San Antonio, TX, who will lead broker channel development and support in a field-remote capacity. The Broker Account Manager plays a key role in expanding market reach, strengthening relationships with brokers and agents, and ensuring all sales activities align with CMS regulations. Frequent local travel is required to support sales efforts, training sessions, and compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance by nurturing existing broker relationships and cultivating new partnerships in both established and emerging markets.
- Coordinate with agents and medical groups to expand network participation and support enrollment growth.
- Lead training initiatives, including onboarding webinars, refresher courses, and annual recertification programs for agents.
- Support broker inquiries through direct communication via phone and email, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Manage agent contracting, certification, commission tracking, and fulfillment of enrollment materials.
- Ensure full compliance with CMS guidelines across all sales and enrollment activities, including monitoring through ride-alongs and secret shopper audits.
- Document performance reviews and corrective actions in alignment with company policy.
- Communicate updates on regulatory changes, internal procedures, and departmental developments to relevant stakeholders.
- Attend required training and leadership meetings to stay current on compliance and operational standards.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in sales or marketing strategy.
- High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent experience may substitute.
- Proven ability to build strong, professional relationships across diverse groups.
- Strong command of written and verbal communication, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- In-depth understanding of CMS marketing and compliance requirements.
- Reliable transportation for regular travel to local sales and training events.
- Highly organized with strong time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting statistical data and generating performance insights.
- Skilled in public speaking and leading group presentations.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience in Medicare or health insurance sectors.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Active life insurance license in the state of Texas.
