Construction & Property Group – UK is hiring a Bookkeeper & Accounts Collection Specialist with a focus on the construction industry. This role requires a professional who can manage full-cycle bookkeeping and take assertive action to collect outstanding debts owed to the company.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
- Handle accounts receivable and actively collect outstanding debts from customers.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Process payroll using QuickBooks Payroll.
- Manage employee time tracking through QuickBooks Time.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Support month-end closing and financial reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Proven bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
- Strong experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, and QuickBooks Time.
- A detail-oriented, organized, and assertive approach to collections.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow up professionally with clients.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of construction accounting practices such as progress billing, retainage, and job costing.
