What You'll Do
Perform biometric data collection for individuals applying for U.S. immigration benefits, including capturing fingerprints, photographs, and signatures with accuracy and efficiency. Serve as a key point of contact at the Application Support Center, verifying appointment confirmations and identification before entry. Guide applicants through screening procedures, using crowd control tools to maintain order and safety both inside and outside the facility.
Conduct visual inspections of applicants and their belongings, and ask health-related questions when necessary during public health events. Monitor facility conditions through regular interior and exterior checks, reporting any issues to the Site Supervisor. Support staff by maintaining visitor logs, completing processing documentation, and reconciling biometric records at the end of each assignment.
Provide courteous, professional service to a diverse public, responding with sensitivity and respect. Assist in enforcing site policies, escalate concerns to supervisors, and help coordinate emergency responses when needed. Uphold strict protocols for handling personal information, ensuring all data remains secure throughout the process.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain facility authorization
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Capacity to stand for full shift durations and assist applicants physically, including guiding hands for fingerprinting
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced public interactions
- Completion of biometrics certification within 60 days of hire
