Responsibilities
- Configure, calibrate, and run multiple auxiliary binding machines equipped with several cutting heads, control panels, or additional components such as inkjet units, mailing systems, case makers, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing devices.
- Potentially set up multi-function automatic bindery systems with multiple stations, including powered cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and speed binders, which can be integrated with other equipment to form a complete finishing line.
- Examine machinery for potential safety hazards before and during operation.
- Possibly operate automatic perfect binding machines with interconnected processing stages that accept collated sheets or signatures and perform tasks like vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, and stacking finished products.
- Perform necessary calibrations to synchronize multiple workstations within a single machine for optimal performance.
- Lead and guide team members through all phases of production operations.
- Track and evaluate product quality, output volume, and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support in training other team members as directed.
