Responsibilities
- Produce and oversee BIM models for electrical conduit and communications cabling installations
- Perform clash detection analysis to identify design conflicts and support coordination efforts
- Participate in weekly coordination meetings and deliver progress updates to the construction management team
- Revise BIM models based on construction management directives and document changes for potential change order evaluation
- Prepare, gather, and process 2D construction drawings for active project areas
- Maintain 3D models for design alignment and submit them for approval by construction management
- Update models on location to reflect actual field conditions
- Support the project team with visual representations derived from the BIM model
- Distribute revised construction drawings following updates issued by construction management
- Operate and maintain BIM software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and NavisWorks
- Utilize coordination, scheduling, programming, file sharing, and collaboration platforms
- Revise BIM models in response to construction management bulletins
- Collaborate with project managers to acquire equipment cut sheets for modeling and submit RFIs when necessary
- Generate measurements and quantity estimates for procurement purposes
- Communicate consistently with construction management and subcontractors
- Acquire digital files essential for model integration
- Revise drawing packages as bulletins are approved for field use
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members
