Parsons is seeking a BIM Engineer with expertise in bridges and tunnels to develop and maintain 3D structural models using Revit and support multidisciplinary coordination. The role involves automation, compliance with BIM standards, and managing models within collaborative platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and problem-solving skills with experience in structural BIM workflows.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain 3D structural models for bridges, tunnels, piers, abutments & deck using Revit.
- Implement automation and parametric workflows (e.g., Dynamo) to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform BIM coordination with Civil, MEP, and Architectural disciplines, including clash detection using Navisworks or Revit.
- Manage project models, data, and deliverables within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent CDE platforms.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plans, and client requirements.
- Extract quantities, schedules, and annotations from models for documentation and reporting.
- Produce 2D drawings (plans, sections, reinforcement details) derived from the 3D model.
- Update models and deliverables based on design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in structural BIM engineering (bridges and tunnels).
- Strong expertise in 3D structural modeling for bridges and tunnels.
- Experience with automation in Revit (Dynamo) to streamline modeling and documentation tasks.
- Proficiency in BIM coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans.
- Knowledge of structural detailing, reinforcement modeling, and constructability considerations.
- Ability to manage large models, families, and standardized Revit templates efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Certified Autodesk Revit Professional is a plus
- Certified ISO 19650 Practitioner/professional is a plus
