Mangone Law Firm is hiring a remote Bilingual Junior Paralegal or Legal Assistant fluent in English and Spanish. In this role, you will provide essential support for humanitarian immigration cases, including drafting legal documents and taking client declarations. You will join a firm dedicated to helping new Americans obtain legal status through excellence in customer service.
What You'll Do
- Draft legal documents and take detailed client declarations.
- Conduct research and gather information to support cases.
- Learn and apply internal firm processes and workflows.
- Communicate directly with clients, providing clear and empathetic updates.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
What We're Looking For
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- A minimum of 6 months of direct experience with humanitarian immigration cases (VAWA, T Visa, U Visa).
- Proven experience taking declarations and drafting legal documents.
- Basic knowledge of immigration legal documents, processes, and workflows.
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Strong command of written drafting, grammar, syntax, and legal style.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong client communication skills with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
- High level of attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, workflows, and legal concepts.
- Client-focused mindset with sensitivity to humanitarian cases.
- Analytical thinking and ability to organize facts logically.
- Adaptability to changes in case requirements or regulations.
