ContiTech USA, Inc. is hiring a BestDrive Service Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage in daily service tasks, managing shop workflow, dispatching road service, handling drive-up customers, and responding to urgent fleet service needs.
  • Perform technical tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, and inspections when required.
  • Provide real-time supervision and task assignments to service technicians during shifts.
  • Ensure all service work is performed correctly, efficiently, and in line with safety and procedural standards.
  • Track service workflow and productivity to meet customer expectations for turnaround time and vehicle uptime.
  • Report operational problems, staffing shortages, or delays to the Store Manager promptly.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for resolving customer and fleet service issues.
  • Help manage incoming service calls, appointments, and coordination of service schedules.
  • Support clear and accurate communication of service options and tire pricing based on approved rate structures.
  • Deliver a consistent, professional customer experience centered on safety, reliability, and service excellence.
  • Offer daily coaching, guidance, and direction to service technicians.
  • Model strong work ethic by actively participating in service tasks and following safety and quality protocols.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new service team members.
  • Reinforce expectations around productivity, attendance, conduct, and safety compliance.
  • Share performance feedback and personnel concerns with the Store Manager and HR team.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA, DOT, and internal safety programs.
  • Ensure adherence to torque specifications, PPE requirements, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain and update the Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Book and related documentation.
  • Verify that service trucks are equipped with functional tools, equipment, and necessary inventory.
  • Support preventive maintenance, inspections, and safe use of service vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and other required vehicle documentation.
  • Help monitor inventory levels of tires, supplies, and service materials.
  • Complete all necessary service records, timekeeping entries, and operational reports.
  • Support cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance in the shop, yard, and service areas.
  • Provide additional operational assistance to the Store Manager as needed.
