ContiTech USA, Inc. is hiring a BestDrive Service Lead

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and engage in daily service tasks, including shop operations, road service dispatch, drive-up support, and emergency fleet response.
  • Perform direct tire service duties such as mounting, balancing, repairs, inspections, and related field work as needed.
  • Provide real-time task assignments and operational direction to service technicians during shifts.
  • Ensure all service work meets accuracy, efficiency, and safety standards according to established protocols.
  • Track service workflow and productivity to meet customer turnaround and vehicle uptime requirements.
  • Report operational disruptions, staffing issues, or delays to the Store Manager promptly.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for resolving customer and fleet service concerns.
  • Help manage incoming service calls, appointments, and coordination of service activities.
  • Support clear and accurate communication of service options and pricing based on approved structures.
  • Deliver a consistent, professional customer experience emphasizing safety, reliability, and service excellence.
  • Offer daily coaching, guidance, and support to service technicians.
  • Model proper safety and quality practices through active participation in service tasks.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new service team members.
  • Enforce expectations around productivity, attendance, conduct, and safety compliance.
  • Share performance feedback and concerns with the Store Manager and Human Resources.
  • Uphold compliance with OSHA, DOT, and internal safety programs.
  • Ensure adherence to torque specifications, PPE requirements, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Maintain and update the Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Book and related documentation.
  • Inspect and verify service truck tools, equipment, and inventory are functional and accounted for.
  • Support preventive maintenance, safety checks, and proper use of service vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and related documentation.
  • Help monitor inventory levels for tires, supplies, and service materials.
  • Complete all required service records, timekeeping entries, and operational reports.
  • Support cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in shop, yard, and service areas.
  • Provide operational assistance to the Store Manager as assigned.
