GFIC is hiring a BENELUX Sales Manager, Phosphates & Specialty Ingredients Food and Petfood (Remote) m/f/d

Lead the commercial expansion of specialty ingredient solutions in one of Europe’s most dynamic food markets. In this fully remote role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end sales process for phosphate and complementary ingredients, serving key customers in meat processing, baking, spice blending, and potato production across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement a focused sales strategy tailored to the BENELUX food and pet food industries
  • Prospect and engage with manufacturers, guiding them from initial contact through technical trials to contract closure
  • Deliver clear, science-based product demonstrations that highlight performance benefits in real-world applications
  • Partner with R&D teams to customize formulations and support customer innovation projects
  • Manage pricing, forecasting, and order fulfillment to consistently meet or exceed volume and margin goals
  • Track regulatory developments, market shifts, and competitive offerings to inform strategic decisions

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related technical field such as Master Butcher
  • At least five years of experience in technical sales or application support within the food ingredients sector
  • Proven track record selling functional ingredients including phosphates, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, acids, proteins, fibers, or yeast
  • Solid understanding of how ingredients perform in meat, bakery, spice, and potato applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with R&D, production, and procurement teams
  • Experience managing a remote territory with strong organizational and self-direction skills
  • Willingness to travel 30–40% for customer visits, trade events, and internal meetings
  • Fluency in both German and English
