About the Role

Braze is hiring a Benefits Specialist to manage and optimize our global employee benefits programs. You will serve as a key resource, ensuring compliance across locations and providing expert guidance to employees, customers, and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize global employee benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement, and pension plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable country, state, and federal regulations across operating locations.
  • Provide expert guidance to employees, customers, and stakeholders on all benefits-related matters.
  • Analyze existing benefits plans and implement new initiatives.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process.
  • Coordinate with vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators to evaluate and improve plan offerings, resolve issues, and negotiate contracts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with insurance carriers and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in the HRIS.
  • Perform ongoing audits of benefits-related data to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits deductions and reporting.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for HRBPs, HR Specialists, customer service teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the design, review, and updating of benefit communication materials.
  • Develop and conduct presentations and training sessions to educate employees about benefits programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollments, status changes, and other benefits questions.
  • Manage Benefits renewal projects.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of wellness programs and other global benefits initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document, streamline, and continuously improve benefits-related processes.
  • Analyze benefits usage and costs, providing recommendations for plan improvements.
  • Lead or support special projects as needed, ensuring alignment with broader benefits strategies.
  • Mentor and support benefits administrators and new team members.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits or related fields.
  • In-depth understanding of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-centric with excellent project management skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, demonstrating initiative and proactivity.
  • A commitment to ongoing process improvements and optimizing benefits administration.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of benefits administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex benefits information clearly.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Nice to Have

  • Professional HR or benefits certification.
  • Prior experience with Workday.
  • Proficiency with Google suite, ServiceNow, Jira, ADP, Salesforce, Zendesk or similar software.
