Responsibilities

  • Assess current benefits plans for performance and employee engagement impact
  • Interpret federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits
  • Collaborate with HR teams to implement benefits improvements
  • Analyze claims and enrollment data to identify trends
  • Support annual benefits audits and reporting requirements
  • Prepare summaries of benefits coverage for employee communications
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and manage relationships with providers
  • Monitor changes in healthcare laws and tax regulations
  • Assist in designing cost-effective benefits strategies
  • Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA guidelines
  • Conduct benchmarking against industry standards
  • Develop dashboards to track benefits utilization
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and materials
  • Respond to employee inquiries about benefits options
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance markets
  • Support merger and acquisition due diligence related to benefits
  • Create training materials for HR staff on benefits administration
  • Validate accuracy of benefits data across systems
  • Work with legal counsel on plan document updates
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee understanding of benefits
