About the Role

Concentric is hiring a Benefits Administrator to lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our group benefits programs. In this remote role within the USA, you will be the primary owner for our self-funded plans, ensuring their performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability while partnering closely with Payroll and Finance.

What You'll Do

  • Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify the best value.
  • Design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs.
  • Assess, select, and negotiate with vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and administrators.
  • Coordinate data transfers for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and required reporting.
  • Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, leaves of absence, disability and accident claims, and 401k plan administration.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, group benefits databases, and employee payroll records.
  • Provide customer service support and develop communication tools to enhance understanding of benefits.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
  • Support the administration of self-funded health plans, coordinating with stop-loss carriers, PBMs, and other vendors.
  • Analyze and interpret experience reporting and claims data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Participate in program assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of benefit offerings.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting on budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and financial reporting for benefits.
  • Lead or support cross-functional benefits projects, including vendor implementations, renewals, and plan design changes.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
  • Three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience.
  • Prior experience administering or supporting self-funded health plans.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret claims and experience reporting.
  • Knowledge of benefits contract language.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits programs, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security, and DOL requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with Google Office products; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and make sound judgments on decisions.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Nice to Have

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS professional designations.
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective planning and priority setting.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

You will be joining a corporate team environment, collaborating cross-functionally with key partners in Payroll and Finance.

  • Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 USD
