Company Name: Tastelab Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and service-driven Head Waiter to lead our front-of-house team. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient dining service while delivering a premium experience to our members and guests. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and coordinate the daily front-of-house operations during service - Lead and support the team of waiters/waitresses — assign sections, monitor performance, and assist where needed - Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service - Train and mentor junior staff on service standards, etiquette, and club protocols - Act as the point of contact between kitchen, bar, and service staff during shifts - Monitor table setups, cleanliness, and presentation before and during service - Handle guest complaints or special requests with diplomacy and speed - Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards - Support the planning and execution of club events, private dinners, and banquets - Maintain stock of service-related supplies and report shortages - Assist with performance reviews and suggest improvements to service procedures Qualifications Requirements: - Proven experience as a senior waiter/head waiter or in a similar supervisory role - Strong leadership and delegation skills - Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities - Deep understanding of fine dining service and hospitality standards - Professional appearance and demeanor - Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-end environment - Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in a private club, luxury hotel, or fine dining setting - Food handling and/or alcohol service certifications - Knowledge of wine, spirits, and pairings
