Red Rocks Community College in Colorado is hiring a Behavioral Health Instructor to teach courses within our program. You will play a key role in preparing students for careers in behavioral health by delivering curriculum through multiple teaching formats.
What You'll Do
- Teach Behavioral Health courses in various modalities, including in-person, hybrid, remote, hyflex, concurrent, or online.
- Conduct student assessments and ensure courses meet approved outcomes and outlines.
- Apply culturally responsive education and foster inclusive learning environments.

- Understanding of teaching best practices.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

- Ability to provide effective feedback and receive constructive criticism.
- Knows and applies best practices in diversity and inclusion.
- Eligible for CTE credentialing in Colorado OR hold an unencumbered professional license in Colorado (or be eligible to obtain licensure).
- Minimum of two (2) years’ equivalent full-time experience in the behavioral health field within the last five (5) years.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and strategies.
- For 1000- & 2000-Level BEH Courses: Meet one of four specified qualification options involving degrees, occupational hours, micro-credentials, or certifications.
- For BEH 1060: Valid BCBA credential (BCBA, BCBA-D) OR be a Delegated Assistant Trainer under BCBA supervision.
- For BEH 1050: Be a Peer Support Professional AND have a minimum one (1) year of experience conducting peer support trainings aligned with SAMHSA core competencies.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation is $1,177.73 - $1,294.58 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Work Mode
This role operates on a hybrid schedule, based at our campus in Lakewood, CO.
