Responsibilities
- Engage with local and regional government representatives to coordinate infrastructure initiatives involving roads and utilities, with travel expected and mileage compensation provided.
- Identify and map existing network facilities in collaboration with project leads and municipal engineering teams to assess project effects.
- Coordinate with third-party utility providers to create relocation strategies that reduce interference and prevent project delays.
- Perform field assessments and design tasks for outside plant build-as-used work orders, including residential services, developments, roadway adjustments, fiber deployments, and aerial or underground installations.
- Maintain accurate records in engineering and project management systems such as FROGS, CAD, Varasset, and SiteTracker.
- Liaise with electric and telecom providers on infrastructure readiness, pole upgrades, and service coordination.
- Secure necessary approvals from federal, state, and local authorities including transportation, environmental, rail, and pipeline agencies.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure construction milestones are met efficiently and within budget.
- Respond to infrastructure damage reports, managing cable inventory updates and associated capital improvements.
- Perform site evaluations and engineering designs for wireless tower infrastructure projects.
- Assist field and central office personnel by diagnosing and resolving regulatory complaints filed with the Public Utilities Commission.
- Partner with contract engineering teams to align project execution with organizational and client requirements.
