Syngenta Group is seeking a Barter Coordinator to be based in Querência, MT. In this role, you will coordinate analysis of commodity and freight markets, plan and execute barter campaigns, manage the client portfolio and contracts, negotiate and finance inputs, and monitor performance while ensuring documentation compliance and internal integration.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the updating of scenarios, trends, and commodity market information to disseminate to commercial teams.
- Monitor the freight market in the regions where Barter clients and partners operate.
- Survey performance and negotiate new orders with the commercial area.
- Structure Barter campaigns to generate demand based on exchange ratios, addressing challenges of mitigating receipt risk.
- Ensure good relationships with Barter clients and partners through formalization of contracts for soy, corn, and cotton.
- Conduct market analysis to identify competitor structures, manage client and order portfolios, and study regional dynamics to find the most favorable and high-potential areas for input-for-commodity exchange.
- Analyze the profile of each client portfolio in operational regions to define access and collaboration with the commercial area.
- Plan the demand for fertilizer and chemical financing, as well as monitor market consumption under this coordination’s responsibility.
- Conduct weekly monitoring of grain contract receipt and performance with partners and trading to control wash-out risk, payment delays, or default risk.
- Ensure compliance in triangular Barter documentation: CPR, grain sales contract, and credit assignment with clients and partners, as well as completion of registry office records.
- Interact effectively between Syngenta's internal Commercial, Credit and Risk, Legal, and trading areas in company processes.
What We're Looking For
- Complete university degree in Agronomy, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Availability to live in the city of operation: Querência, MT.
- Experience in Barter activities (knowledge of the commodity market, especially pricing, origination, and credit – negotiation and operation backoffice).
- Experience with soy, corn, and cotton Barter.
- Ability to build strong client relationships and strong negotiation skills.
- Availability for travel.
