Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of school grounds at all times
- Carry out regular cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance tasks as outlined in custodial duties
- Remove waste and dispose of trash throughout the facility
- Clean and sanitize blackboards, handrails, doors, and other frequently touched surfaces
- Replace burned-out light bulbs as needed
- Vacuum and mop all floor surfaces regularly
- Clean windows and disinfect restrooms used by students and staff
- Support cleaning efforts in the food service area
- Paint interior and exterior areas as required
- Set up and remove lunch tables in the multi-purpose room when necessary
- Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
- Maintain the exterior condition of the building and surrounding areas
- Clear snow from walkways and steps using shoveling, snow-blowing, and salting methods
- Buff and wax floors to maintain appearance and durability
- Prepare facilities for special events including meetings and open houses
- Verify that electronic security and emergency systems are functional
- Notify school leadership of any property damage or deterioration requiring repair or replacement
- Demonstrate openness to training and apply newly acquired skills on the job
- Maintain and organize all custodial tools, equipment, and supplies
- Report to the building during emergency or non-operational days to assess safety and structural integrity
- Promote a positive school culture by adhering to professional standards
- Align actions with the institution’s core philosophy and mission in all activities
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

- Work hours are from 3:15 pm to 9:30 pm
- Must be open to receiving training and applying new skills
- Required to report during emergency or non-routine days such as snow closures or utility outages
