About the Role
The role involves building and maintaining scalable backend services that process high-volume data streams and support platform reliability, performance, and extensibility across distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services handling large-scale data ingestion and processing
- Design APIs that support real-time data exchange between systems
- Optimize database performance for high-throughput workloads
- Implement data pipeline architectures for reliability and low-latency access
- Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models
- Ensure system scalability to accommodate growing user and data volume demands
- Monitor system health and respond to production incidents
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Integrate third-party services and external data sources securely
- Support deployment automation and infrastructure as code practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Maintain data consistency and integrity across services
- Contribute to disaster recovery and system resilience planning
- Work closely with frontend teams to align on feature delivery
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system capabilities
- Document system architecture and operational procedures
- Assist in capacity planning for storage and compute resources
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical systems
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
