Stratolaunch is hiring an Avionics Telemetry Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Participate in defining requirements and designing architecture for instrumentation, data networks, and telemetry systems used in both local and long-range missions.
  • Assist in preparing data systems for flight testing to ensure operational readiness during flight operations.
  • Help select sensors and design wiring harnesses for new components including data acquisition units, onboard computers, and network hardware.
  • Operate and maintain aircraft instrumentation systems to deliver real-time mission data and recorded flight data for later analysis.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of software tools for configuration, simulation, deployment, and data evaluation.
  • Identify, record, and oversee subsystem requirements for each new aircraft setup.
  • Design and execute tests for telemetry, instrumentation, and network systems as needed.
  • Conduct integration testing activities such as power verification, sensor calibration, and hardware validation.
  • Work with design, network, and avionics teams to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare documentation and presentations on data systems for design reviews, flight readiness evaluations, and post-mission assessments.
  • Uphold principles of accountability, ethical conduct, dependability, and commitment to agreed responsibilities.
