Enthusiast Auto Holdings is looking for an Automotive Technical Writer to join our team in Wadsworth, Ohio. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be a key part of the product development process, translating complex mechanical function into clear, user-friendly documentation.
What You'll Do
- Install, test fit, and validate new and existing parts for quality, functionality, and performance.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure we are developing the best products possible.
- Write customer-facing installation instructions that speak to readers of any skill level.
- Write in-house assembly, inspection, and packaging documentation.
- Assist in coordinating the sourcing, pickup, drop off, and delivery of customer vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and R&D facilities.
What We're Looking For
- Attention to detail with the constant pursuit of raising the bar.
- 2+ years experience in general automotive repair and maintenance.
- Intimate, hands-on understanding of steering, suspension, braking, exhaust, turbo/supercharger, engine, and drivetrain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of owning and managing many projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated team player, with the ability to identify tasks without supervision.
- Willingness to seek guidance when needed.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- High School Diploma.
Nice to Have
- In-depth European automotive knowledge (BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, MINI, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz).
- 3+ years experience in engine management diagnosis and repair.
- 2+ years experience in automotive control modules, electrical systems, and wiring.
- Successful completion of an automotive technician education (ASE, UTI, UNOH, etc.).
- Experience with AP English language and composition.
- Hands-on experience with DSLR camera and related equipment.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe, Office, Solidworks suites.
- Charismatic personality that is comfortable explaining and performing repairs in front of a virtual audience, including being on camera for video projects.
