Join a forward-thinking project as an Automotive Engineer specializing in Python to help train and evaluate AI systems. This freelance role focuses on shaping AI understanding in engineering contexts by creating practical, real-world automotive problems and assessing how well AI models solve them.
What You'll Do
You'll develop technically grounded problems relevant to both academic and industry settings, ranging from fundamental mechanics to complex system behaviors. Each AI-generated response will be reviewed for logical consistency, validity of assumptions, and alignment with core engineering principles.
Using Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas, you'll verify numerical outputs and analytical methods. Your feedback will directly improve how AI interprets multi-step reasoning tasks, ensuring solutions meet professional engineering standards.
What We Require
- Formal education in Automotive Engineering or a closely related discipline such as Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
- At least three years of hands-on engineering experience
- Advanced written English fluency (C1/C2 level)
- Proven ability to use Python for technical computing and data validation
- Reliable internet access to support remote collaboration
Preferred Background
- Professional credentials such as PE, CEng, or PMP
- Experience working on international or applied engineering initiatives
Work Structure
This is a project-based position with no guaranteed minimum hours. Active phases may require 10–20 hours per week, scheduled flexibly based on availability. Assignments are distributed globally, and contributors work remotely.
Compensation & Tools
Pay varies by project scope and complexity, with a baseline equivalent to $13/hour. You’ll work with Python-based tools including NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy to analyze and refine AI performance. This role offers direct involvement in AI training initiatives for advanced technology applications.
