LKQ Corporation is hiring an Automotive Dismantler to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for properly removing all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts from vehicles in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.
What You'll Do
- Dismantle vehicles within suggested time constraints in a safety-conscious manner.
- Label and tag parts to be placed into stock.
- Check the quality and product type of the parts.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Must own and maintain all the tools necessary for the job.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate basic messages orally and write brief messages.
- Ability to follow standard procedures and clear directions.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles, getting into awkward positions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work with exposure to hazardous situations, conditions, equipment, contaminants, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and extreme lighting.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma/GED.
Team & Environment
This position is not responsible for supervising employees.
