Audio Sound Engineer – Lake Buena Vista
Role Overview
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality audio production at a renowned live music venue located in Disney Springs. The Audio Sound Engineer ensures seamless sound performance for concerts and special events by managing system setup, live mixing, and equipment breakdown. This role plays a key part in maintaining technical excellence and supporting both in-house and visiting production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of band and rental audio equipment
- Set up, patch, and configure sound systems, including cabling and signal routing
- Operate audio control boards during live performances to deliver clear, balanced mixes
- Monitor and maintain safe sound levels while optimizing audio quality
- Supervise visiting audio technicians and ensure compliance with venue standards
- Inspect, maintain, and repair audio, lighting, and stage equipment
- Collaborate with production staff and artists’ representatives during technical planning
- Develop and distribute audio system layouts and signal flow documentation
- Support lighting and stage crews with equipment setup and coordination
- Assist with special event production as needed
- Maintain relationships with local and national audio suppliers
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in live sound engineering or stage production
- Familiarity with professional audio, lighting, and basic video systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in environments with high noise levels
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
Work Environment
