Thomson Reuters is hiring an Attorney Editor to join our Global Legal Commentary team. In this entry-level role, you will source, create, edit, and maintain high-quality legal analysis for platforms like Westlaw, print, and Proview. You’ll be responsible for maintaining our world-class commentary collection through strong editorial skills and effective relationship management.
What You'll Do
- Source, review, and maintain legal commentary content for online, print, and e-book products.
- Manage third-party and internal relationships to meet publishing schedules and quality standards.
- Stay current with legal trends and market developments.
- Create, edit, and update secondary legal content, including practice tips and highlights.
- Identify and organize key legal issues.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all legal content.
- Leverage your legal expertise to test and validate AI solutions, including creating gold data and grading model outputs.
- Prioritize work and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the content production process.
- Become proficient on company-specific systems and develop knowledge of Thomson Reuters and competitor products.
What We're Looking For
- A law degree from an accredited law school
Nice to Have
- Legal practice experience, legal editorial experience, or equivalent.
- Law review or journal experience.
- A self-starter with an aptitude for legal research and writing, including experience using Westlaw and/or Practical Law.
- An analytical thinker who uses logic and collaboration to solve difficult problems.
- A decisive focus on making quality decisions efficiently.
- The ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material.

- Compensation ranges from $64,540 - $119,860 (for NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC) or $56,000 - $104,000 (for other eligible US locations).
