About the Role
The role involves owning and improving the Atlassian suite used across engineering teams, ensuring system uptime, implementing security standards, automating workflows, and supporting internal users through technical guidance and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Atlassian environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Atlassian systems into CI/CD pipelines
- Implement and enforce access controls, permissions, and compliance policies
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve incidents
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and version migrations
- Monitor system health and proactively address potential risks
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for configurations and processes
- Support onboarding of new users and provide ongoing technical assistance
- Work with security teams to meet organizational audit and compliance requirements
- Optimize workflows within Jira for agile development and project tracking
- Evaluate and integrate third-party apps and plugins for enhanced functionality
- Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices for tool usage
- Assist in defining standards for project setup and space management in Confluence
- Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams on observability and monitoring integration
- Gather user feedback to improve platform usability and efficiency
- Maintain awareness of Atlassian product updates and roadmap changes
- Support identity and access management integrations such as SSO and directory services
- Ensure data integrity and perform regular backups and restore tests
- Drive adoption of automation and self-service capabilities
- Coordinate with vendors for support and licensing management
- Promote consistent use of Atlassian tools across departments
- Contribute to post-mortem reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
