Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal integrity across all athletic activities.
- Conduct regular on-campus visits two to three times per week during instructional hours to engage with coaches, athletes, and school leaders.
- Serve as the primary liaison between student-athletes, coaching staff, families, and community partners.
- Organize and lead preseason orientations for athletes, coaches, and parents to communicate expectations and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Program Innovation to define and implement a strategic vision and monthly operational plan.
- Manage end-to-end operations of athletic programs, including scheduling, logistics, and event coordination.
- Ensure all home games follow standardized, minute-by-minute execution protocols for consistency and professionalism.
- Be present at all athletic competitions, both home and away, to oversee safety, conduct, and program quality.
- Develop and distribute practice schedules while ensuring timely communication to all involved parties.
- Supervise coaches in the proper distribution, tracking, and return of uniforms and athletic equipment.
- Coordinate student transportation logistics in partnership with First Student and manage fleet coordination for away events.
- Arrange officiating crews for home games through the Dragonfly platform.
- Uphold compliance with organizational policies, athletic program standards, and state athletic association regulations.
- Verify that all coaches maintain current certifications, signed agreements, and required documentation such as student activity permits.
- Monitor and verify academic standing, physical exam status, and required forms to ensure student-athlete eligibility.
- Partner with the school’s registrar to generate eligibility reports using student information systems.
- Distribute weekly updates to staff, families, and stakeholders with key athletic program developments.
- Maintain consistent communication with campus leadership through routine check-ins and collaboration.
- Conduct bi-weekly or monthly coaching meetings to align goals, review performance, and reinforce accountability.
- Enhance visibility and enthusiasm for athletics through announcements, promotional materials, and school events.
- Encourage student engagement, regular participation, and long-term involvement in sports programs.
- Build community partnerships and outreach initiatives to strengthen program support and visibility.
- Support the growth of a competitive, well-structured, and enduring athletic program.
- Plan and deliver ongoing professional development aligned with coaching staff needs and performance cycles.
- Conduct monthly evaluations of coaching staff during games or practices as part of the staff development process.
