Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation is hiring an AS&T Expert - Medical Devices. In this role, you will manage all analytical aspects with a focus on Medical Devices and functional testing within projects to ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and Novartis procedures. You will be responsible for analytical Life Cycle Management for commercial products and timely analytical implementation for new projects.
What You'll Do
- Act as Technical SME for device-related analytical methods and functional testing equipment (e.g., ZwickRoell test machines).
- Manage and oversee all analytical activities related to functional testing of devices within responsible projects.
- Perform life-cycle management of analytical methods, including control of method performance, analytical method improvements, and compliance with pharmacopoeias and health authorities.
- Ensure timely analytical implementation (Method Transfer and Method Validation) for new projects during product transfers.
- Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external clients and contract laboratories.
- Provide scientific analytical support for quality control, production, and registration; act as subject matter expert in health authority inspections.
- Support overarching product investigations (Deviations and OOx) cross-functionally with QC, QA, Production, and MS&T.
- Implement GMP requirements and compile/review documents (analytical protocols and reports, ongoing process verification reports, registration documents).
What We're Looking For
- University degree or FH with a natural science/technical background (e.g., engineering, metrology, chemistry, pharmacy) or equivalent education.
- Approximately 3 to 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and/or an analytical laboratory in a GMP environment.
- Fluent in English and German.
Nice to Have
- Technical expertise in ZwickExpert software is beneficial.

- Minimum compensation of €65,605.54 per year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher.
