About the Role

RSM is hiring an Assurance Technology Business Analyst to support product vision by bridging business and technology teams. You'll refine business requirements and serve as a key point of contact throughout the delivery process in this fully remote role.

What You'll Do

  • Research, document, and socialize functional requirements for tool and process enhancements.
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions and address issues before delivery begins.
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop supporting documentation including state flow diagrams and data mapping.
  • Establish and manage relationships with Audit and technology subject matter experts.
  • Support the change control process for scope and requirement changes.
  • Monitor product progress at each stage of the Agile delivery process.
  • Participate in test case design to ensure quality QA/UAT results.
  • Work with scrum teams to resolve issues in development, QA, and UAT cycles.
  • Provide support to the audit methodology group on QA/UAT inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the BA Team to support a center of excellence for UAT.
  • Support product vision including upgrades, enhancements, and project alignment.
  • Act as primary liaison between business and technology teams.
  • Assist with vendor relationship management for enhancements and support tickets.
  • Review release backlog to ensure priorities are accurate.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings.
  • Build and leverage internal and external networks.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of team processes.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments affecting accounting and auditing standards.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
  • Support the BA team with critical issues and escalations.

What We're Looking For

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Great attention to detail and quality.
  • Genuine interest and strong aptitude for technology.
  • Strong technical expertise in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to leverage resources across multiple products and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the Agile Framework, with a focus in Scrum and Scaled Agile.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability.
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in Audit or Business Analysis.
  • Experience working with 3rd party and vendor relationships.
  • Proven experience in operational business process improvement.
  • Skilled at building relationships with individual contributors, management, and senior leadership.
  • Positive, upbeat, can-do attitude with ability to drive positive change.

Nice to Have

  • Prior business analysis or audit experience with a mid to large public accounting or audit services firm.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Alignment to Minneapolis or San Jose offices is a plus to facilitate training.

  • Compensation range: $72,100 - $118,800

Work Mode

This is a remote position. Alignment to Minneapolis or San Jose offices is a plus for training and team integration.
