Sierra Meadows & Ascend Behavioral Health was looking for an Associate Therapist

Sierra Meadows & Ascend Behavioral Health is hiring an Associate Therapist to deliver compassionate, direct therapeutic care. You will provide a range of clinical services, collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to support patient wellness. What You'll Do

  • Conduct group, individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.
  • Provide direct therapeutic care under limited supervision.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Oversee patient progress and ensure the level of care is appropriate.
  • Complete initial assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, therapy notes, and discharge plans within required time frames.
  • Oversee insurance compliance, including utilization review and medical necessity criteria.
  • Ensure coordination of services for families and multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and community standards of care.
  • Participate in agency quality improvement activities.
  • Follow and improve clinical objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Travel occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stays.
  • Expand and update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current state license as a mental health therapist (ACSW, AMFT, APCC), with an active 1st associate number in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities.
  • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
  • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to provide effective team leadership.
  • Proficiency in word processing and database and/or spreadsheet applications.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the mental health / substance abuse treatment field.
  • Proficient in English Language.
  • Proficient communicator.
