Oriental Bank is looking for an Associate, Retail Channels (Teller) to join our San Juan branch team. You will provide superior and efficient customer service, handle transactional services, and promote bank products while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. This is an on-site position located at our San Juan, P.R. Branch Ponce de Leon.

What You'll Do

Provide high-quality, prompt, and courteous customer service with precision and accuracy.
Handle transactional services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, processing payments, and transfers following all policies.
Ensure compliance by executing all transactions within established operating policies and procedures.
Maintain workstation readiness and established controls over keys, stamps, and assigned cash.
Ensure compliance with cash management procedures and maintain established cash limits.
Balance the cash fund at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to your supervisor.
Maintain logs and registers according to established procedures.
Receive and manage customer claims or inquiries within your scope, referring others appropriately.
Report and escalate any suspicious transaction or activity observed to management.
Promote bank products, identify cross-selling opportunities, and refer customers to peers and team members.

What We're Looking For

An Associate degree, technical degree, or approved credits in Business Administration or a related field.
One (1) year of retail, customer service, or cash register experience.
Excellent customer service and bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
Strong basic mathematical skills and a detail-oriented approach.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate computer proficiency.
Availability to work based on branch hours of operation, plus flexibility for overtime as needed.
Legal authorization to work in the US for an indefinite duration.
